We aim to create opportunities for the poor and marginalized sections, with special emphasis on girls, leading to their development and social standing.

SWARD is a non-profit social development organization working in the state of Telangana in Southern India. The organization was established in 1997 to initiate development interventions in the rural-urban slums of Sangareddy, Siddipet, and Medak, Since then, SWARD has developed expertise in a wide range of development initiatives acquired through 30 years of devoted work and professionalism. It has broad geographical coverage of 200 GPS, and 10 urban slums of Siddipet, Medak, Sangareddy, and Hyderabad Districts.
Our organization has adopted a right-based approach to work towards a socially just and empowered society, that reflects local cultural values and practices. The organization is creating opportunities for the poor and marginalized, with a special focus on girls, for their development with dignity and respect. SWARD consists of a team of social scientists with substantial experience in gender, education, human rights, livelihood, and humanitarian work. SWARD strongly believes that community participation is an essential part of any right-based approach that leads to social transformation, and this philosophy has been implemented by the organization in all its program areas.
So far, we have reached 1,19,776 beneficiaries through various programs.
